A town centre supermarket in Wiltshire has been put on the market for £1.6 million.
The Iceland store in Chippenham Market Place has been put up for sale by the building’s owner, alongside the branch’s car park and the offices on the first and second floor.
Both the ground floor supermarket and car park are currently let to Iceland for £119,200 per year and the retailer has a 10-year lease which does not end until March 2027.
Any sale is therefore unlikely to lead to Iceland being replaced, and the firm told this paper it had no plans to close or relocate its Chippenham store.

The Grade II listed property is due to be sold by Knight Frank auctions on December 12.
The offices on the first and second floors of the building are currently empty, and Knight Frank has suggested these floors could be turned into residential spaces.
In an online listing, a spokesperson added: “The vacant offices may benefit from conversion to residential use, subject to all necessary consents.
“A pre-application response dated May 24, 2024, from Wiltshire Council for six one-beds or four two-beds is available for inspection.”
