A Wiltshire town will host its “biggest and best” late night shopping event this festive season.
Malmesbury’s late night shopping, a highlight of the town’s calendar, will be staged in the town centre on Friday, December 6, between 6pm and 9pm.
Shops will open late and the streets, including Oxford Street for the first time, will be lined with stalls.
Visitors have been promised the event will be “bigger and better than ever” with 70 stalls in total and some located in the town hall.
Festive lights will be in place alongside a children’s activities area in the Cross Hayes car park, outside Santa’s Grotto.

There will be entertainment on offer and hundreds of visitors are expected.
The event is organised by Malmesbury Town Council and local business group Malmesbury Town Team.
Cllr Phil Exton said: “Our team of organisers and volunteers have done a great job extending the event.
“I’m looking forward to seeing local people and visitors enjoying our town under the festive lights.”
Town team chair David Drake added: “This is a great annual event that encourages people into our town centre and gives the town’s businesses a great start to trading in the festive period, whether that’s our independent shops or hospitality venues.”
Free parking will be available in the long-stay car park from 6pm.
