The following cases were heard at magistrates courts in Swindon and Salisbury.

BRADFORD ON AVON: On Friday, October 18, Adrian Weeks, of Frome in Somerset, was sentenced for four counts of theft from a shop in Wiltshire.

The 43-year-old pleaded guilty to stealing over £1,000 worth of items from Sainsbury’s in the town, between May 23 and September 23, including meat, alcohol, Lego, and an electronic toothbrush.

He was jailed for 11 weeks due to the fact he was serving a suspended sentence.

CORSHAM: On Friday, October 18, Peter Doe, of South Street, was sentenced for drink driving.

The 50-year-old pleaded guilty to driving on the A4 at Chippenham on October 2 while the proportion of alcohol in his breath was 92uq per 100 millilitres.

He was banned from driving for 23 months, fined £2,400, and ordered to pay £85 in costs and a £960 surcharge.

TROWBRIDGE: On Friday, October 18, Conner Osment, of Barons Crescent, was sentenced for being drunk and disorderly in a public place.

The 18-year-old pleaded guilty to the offence, which took place in Sanders Road on September 30.

He was fined £60 and ordered to pay £85 in costs.

TROWBRIDGE: On Friday, October 18, Puligadda Sai, of Fore Street, was sentenced for using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm, or distress.

The 29-year-old pleaded guilty the offence, which took place in Trowbridge on September 18.

He was fined £415, and ordered to pay £50 in compensation, £85 in costs, and a £166 surcharge.

BROMHAM: On Friday, October 18, Przemyslaw Kowalski, of Brick Hill, was sentenced for failing to stop after a crash.

The 43-year-old pleaded guilty to failing to stop after a crash in which he was involved as a driver on Oxford Road in Calne on April 21.

Another vehicle was damaged in the incident and Kowalski also admitted driving without due care or attention and failing to report to a police station after the crash.

He was slapped with a community order requiring him to complete 100 hours of unpaid work and ordered to pay £85 in costs and a £114 surcharge.

COLERNE: On Friday, October 18, Richard Semadeni, of Pinewood Way, was sentenced for making off without paying for diesel.

The 34-year-old pleaded guilty to trying to avoid paying for £80.10 worth of petrol from Yarnbrook on February 6.

He was ordered to pay £80.10 in compensation and £85 in costs.

HILPERTON: On Friday, October 18, David Deighton, of Kings Gardens, was sentenced for driving while disqualified.

The 33-year-old pleaded guilty to driving in Trowbridge on March 29 while he was banned from holding a licence and did not have insurance.

He was banned from driving for four months, fined £800, and ordered to pay £85 in costs and a £320 surcharge.

WARMINSTER: On Friday, October 18, Alfie Cook, of Brook Street, was sentenced for drug driving.

The 21-year-old pleaded guilty to driving in Warminster on March 22 when the proportion of Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol in his blood exceeded the legal limit.

He was banned from driving for 12 months, fined £261, and ordered to pay £85 in costs and a £104 surcharge.

DEVIZES: On Saturday, October 19, Cyrus Brimble, of Thorpe Road, was sentenced for drink driving.

The 20-year-old pleaded guilty to driving on Nursteed Road September 24 while the proportion of alcohol in his breath was 47 microgrammes per 100 millilitres.

He also admitted failing to surrender to custody at Salisbury Magistrates Court following this incident.

Brimble was banned from driving for 12 months, fined £120, and ordered to pay £85 in costs and a £48 surcharge.
