A major project to build nearly 100 homes on a former Wiltshire ambulance station site is progressing.
Demolition crews started work at the old Chippenham ambulance station on Malmesbury Road in July, several months after planning permission was granted for 95 homes on the site.
In the following months, the demolition of the disused buildings at the station has been progressing and construction on the development is due to begin soon.
Developer Persimmon Homes Wessex hopes the first homes at the estate, which will be known as Oak Hill Rise, will be occupied by next year.

The build is expected to be completed by 2027.
A spokesperson said: “There has been a lot of activity on the site, but this relates to a programme of enabling works which are necessary to bring a brownfield site back into use, such as the demolition of the existing vacant and underused buildings which has now been completed.
“The next stage of construction – groundworks – is due to commence shortly. The first occupations will be next year, with the site due to be completed in 2027.
“Of course, there are some market and economic factors which might have an impact on this too.”
The site has been vacant for years after the Wiltshire Ambulance Service moved to a new station on Bath Road.
