Dozens of pubs across Wiltshire are seeking new landlords after being put on the market.
A range of venues in towns and villages across the county have been listed on Rightmove as available to either buy or let in recent months or remain available after earlier listings.
A list of some of the pubs still on the market in Wiltshire, at the time of writing, can be found below.
The Crown
A prominent pub on New Park Street in Devizes, just a stone’s throw away from the old Wadworth brewery site, The Crown has been empty since its previous management left in January.
The town centre venue, which boasts a picturesque beer garden, has since been listed as available to let by owners Wadworth with the brewery searching for new business partners for several months now.
The price of the rent is available on application.
The White Horse
Another pub available to let is The White Horse, located off The Green in Biddestone.
The Grade II listed 18th century has benefitted from a recent refurbishment of its commercial kitchen and currently boasts three trading areas and a “large” beer garden at the rear.
The price of the rent is available on application.
Somerset Arms
The final listing available to let rather than to buy, this pub on Semington High Street near the A350 is available for £3,333 per month.
The venue is described as “substantial” and has the potential for 90 covers thanks interlinking bar and restaurant space and external seating areas.
Estate agent Fleurets added that the property has three letting bedrooms and “significant trade potential”.
The Ivy Inn
The Ivy has been up for sale for several months after Wadworth made the pub available for offers in the region of £450,000.
At least one potential buyer has already been identified as the Friends of The Ivy group are ramping up plans to raise the money to take on the building and turn it into a community pub.
The venue is listed as a community asset and remains up for sale, described as a “characterful” 17th century pub.
The Crown & Anchor
Another pub that is currently closed is The Crown & Anchor in Ramsbury, according to property experts Christie & Co.
But the popular village pub, which traded successfully for many years, is currently available for £650,000.
Christie & Co said there is an opportunity for a new owner to refurbish and reopen the pub, with the income also set to be bolstered by the income from flats on the first floor.
The Ship Inn
A High Street pub in the village of Pewsey, The Ship Inn is on the market for offers in excess of £400,000.
The Ship is a “traditional English pub” dating back to the 16th century and still has a thatched roof and an open log fire, alongside more modern features like a beer garden equipped with a pizza oven.
While the current owner would prefer to sell the property as a freehold, they would also consider letting the venue to the right tenant for an annual rent of £25,000.
The Woolpack
Located on Sutton Veny High Street, The Woolpack is near both Warminster and tourist attractions like Longleat and Center Parcs.
It’s on the market for £395,000 and houses an open plan bar and restaurant with 30 covers.
But estate agent Fleurets says there is the possibility for the expansion of the pub’s current offering, while the venue also has a three-bedroom private accommodation.
