Residents have been issued important information about changes to recycling centres in Wiltshire.

Wiltshire Council has reminded its residents that Household Recycling Centres across the county switched to their annual winter opening hours from Friday, November 1.

During the winter, the centres will only be open between the hours of 10am and 4pm while multiple sites will close for an extra day every week.

A spokesperson for the council said: “From this Friday all of our Household Recycling Centres switch to their annual winter opening hours of 10am to 4pm.

“If you are visiting, remember to sort out your waste before you arrive so that together we can recycle as much as possible.

“Salisbury, Trowbridge and Stanton St Quinton HRCs will be closed for an additional day a week so will not be operating on Thursdays and Fridays.”

Other Household Recycling centres in Wiltshire can be found at Amesbury, Devizes, Lower Compton, Marlborough, Melksham, Purton, and Warminster.

When attending the centres residents should arrive in a vehicle and only use sites that are within the Wiltshire Council local authority area.

Those who pay their council tax to Swindon Borough Council should check their website for more details of winter opening hours.
