The successes of adult learners from across Wiltshire are set to be celebrated at an awards event.
The family and community learning team at Wiltshire Council will host the annual learner celebration awards on November 6.
The event will be held at Trowbridge Civic Centre, starting at 6pm, with the awards ceremony taking place from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.
Courses offered by the family and community learning team, which are free of charge, cater to adults, parents, and carers across Wiltshire.
These courses, available online and at various venues around the county, are aimed at supporting individuals who face barriers to improving their lives through learning.
The awards event celebrates the "transformative impact of learning," with seven categories highlight various success stories.
The categories are New Directions, Learning for Health and Wellbeing, English Language Learning, Overcoming Challenges, Independent Living, Into Work, and Outstanding Individual Learner.
The event coincides with Lifelong Learning Week, a national initiative taking place from November 4 to 7.
The family and community learning service provides a range of short courses and single-session classes to encourage adults to return to learning.
These courses cover a range of topics, including emotional wellbeing, work-related skills, and independent living skills for adults with additional needs.
