Multiple road closures and roadworks are set to hit drivers on the M4 in Wiltshire with delays expected.
Over the next week, starting on Monday, October 28, the M4 will be impacted by several stages of roadworks in the Chippenham area.
This will include a full closure of the westbound carriageway between Chippenham and Bath for two nights while carriageway repairs and reconstruction are carried out.
There will also be lane closures while the eastbound exit slip road at junction 17 will shut for two nights during work on the roundabout.
Junction 17 has regularly been hit by roadworks over the last year.
A full list of the upcoming roadworks can be found below.
- Between 7pm and 6am from October 28 to October 30 – M4 eastbound exit slip at junction 17 closed for Wiltshire Council works.
- Between 8pm and 6am from October 29 to October 31 – M4 westbound closed between junctions 17 and 18 for carriageway repairs.
- Between 8pm and 6am from October 31 to November 1 – M4 westbound lane closure between junctions 17 and 18 for carriageway repairs.
- Between 9pm and 6pm from November 1 to November 2 – M4 westbound lane closure between junctions 17 and 18 for carriageway repairs.
