A new late-night convenience store has opened for business in Trowbridge town centre to fill a gap in the market.

The new Mini Market Express at the front of the Castle Place shopping centre will enable residents and visitors to buy anything from bread and a pint of milk to alcohol.

The investment has been made by Mohamed Aziz, who also runs the 7 Days Trowbridge Ltd convenience store in Wicker Hill.

Mr Aziz said: “All of Trowbridge is happy now that we have opened. They have been telling me ‘well done’.

“The shop will open from early in the morning to late at night. Everybody I have spoken to has welcomed it.”

The new store will open for 20 hours a day from 6am to 2am and is located in a Castle Place unit previously occupied by a McColls convenience store.

It will sell dry groceries, as well as alcohol, and it will also eventually have a Paypoint and a National Lottery terminal.
