A Marlborough charity is celebrating after receiving a £5,000 donation.
Love Marlborough Kids Meals was selected by customers at the Marlborough Superstore to receive the donation at Tesco's Golden Grants event on September 21.
The charity was one of three that customers could vote for to receive the grant as part of Tesco's Stronger Starts scheme.
Catherine Williams, co-ordinator at Love Marlborough Kids Meals, said: "This grant from Tesco is really transformational for our very small charity.
"It enables us to make a purchase of new equipment; a warming oven, that will make our meal production more efficient and straightforward.
"On top of this, the grant will fund all our food and utility costs for over a month; allowing us to provide a hot cooked meal for 48 local families every week."
The Golden Grants event took place at more than 100 Tesco stores across the country, with £500,000 donated to causes that help children and young people.
The grants are part of Tesco's £8million Stronger Starts programme, which helps schools and children's groups provide nutritious food and healthy activities.
Since the launch of the Community Grants programme in 2016, Tesco has given more than £120million to 67,000 schools and community groups.
