Two workshops are set to bring "natural magic" to Lacock Abbey this half term.
The National Trust has teamed up with Trowbridge's Sustainable Art Lab, SILT, to hold two workshops on October 25 and November 1.
The workshops will allow visitors to create colour-changing inks, dyes, and light-sensitive paints.
All of which will be made from plant dyes and natural photographic processes.
"SILT: Sustainable Image Lab looks at ways of 'greening' image-making practices and exploring processes from the early days of photography and colour extraction," said SILT artists, Anna Chrystal Stephens and Allison Balance.
"At Lacock, thinking about Fox Talbot and looking at his Botanic Garden we ask: what would photography and colour production look like now if extraction and pollution had been considered at their conception?
"On October 25 we’ll have a bubbling dye pot on the go so you can see how dyes are made from plants, and on November 1 you’ll also have a chance to see the anthotype process in action and make light-sensitive emulsions to try out at home."
The drop-in workshops will be held in the newly reopened Bothy in Henry Fox Talbot’s Botanic Garden.
They are included in the cost of general admission.
