A Wiltshire pub will close for two weeks during an “exciting” refurbishment after new plans were submitted for the venue.
The Gladstone Arms, on Gladstone Road in Chippenham, has announced it will close its doors for a short period starting on Monday, October 21.
During a planned two-week closure, the venue will undergo an “exciting” refurbishment before reopening with a “fresh new look” ready for the build up to Christmas.
A spokesperson for the business said: “Exciting things are happening at The Gladstone Arms - we’re taking a short break for a restaurant refurb.
“From October 21 until the November 5, we’ll be closed while we give the place a fresh new look.

“Make sure you swing by before we close.”
The refurbishment comes after plans were submitted to Wiltshire Council for the like-for-like replacement of the windows at the “beautiful building.”
This proposal remains under consideration by the council at the time of writing and is not intended to cause any change to the appearance of the venue.
The Gladstone Arms was taken over by its current management 20 years ago and had previously been boarded up as The Borough Arms.
It has since gone from strength to strength and has been described as serving “the best Sunday lunch” in the area.
