A town centre road was closed by the fire service causing heavy traffic as they respond to an unconfirmed 'fire incident'.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service closed the High Street in Marlborough in response to an incident that began around 10.30am on Thursday, October 17.
Traffic has been made worse by traffic lights on Salisbury Road, and it is advised to seek alternative routes if possible.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: "There is currently heavy traffic throughout Marlborough which is being caused by traffic lights on SALISBURY ROAD & a fire incident on the HIGH STREET.
"The traffic is being managed by fire at this time.

"Please seek alternative routes if possible. Thank you for your patience."
A spokesperson for the local fire service said Marlborough Fire Station was investigating a possible gas leak.
They said: “The High Street in Marlborough has been closed at the college end while we investigate a possible gas leak.
"Engineers are on route, please avoid the area."
An eyewitness at the scene reported “fire engine all over the place & police in attendance”, while another described traffic “bedlam”.
AA Traffic News has since reported the road has been opened but remains blocked.
It states: "Partially Blocked, fire Department activity, queueing Traffic
"Partially blocked and queueing traffic due to fire department activity on A4 High Street Southbound between Ailesbury Court and The Church."
