Drivers have been warned to take care on roads around Wiltshire with heavy rain expected to cause disruption.
Heavy rain fell around the county on the evening of Tuesday, October 16, and following this overnight downpour, Wiltshire Council has issued a warning.
A spokesperson has reminded drivers to expect standing water on roads in the area.
If motorists do encounter flooding on the county’s highways, they are advised not to drive through it.
Speaking on Tuesday night, a council spokesperson said: “It’s another very wet night and there is a lot of water on Wiltshire's roads.
“Please take extra care on the roads tonight and tomorrow morning.

“Allow extra time for your journey, drive to the conditions, and watch out for standing water.
“Do not drive through floodwater.”
Flood alerts remain in place on the River Avon, stretching from Bradford on Avon to Malmesbury and covering towns like Chippenham and Melksham.
The Environment Agency warned that river levels are expected to rise throughout Wednesday and that flooding is possible as a result.
A spokesperson added: “We are closely monitoring the situation and will issue further flood alerts or warnings if necessary.
“Further rainfall is expected through the week and river levels are expected to remain high.”
