Five motorists have been caught speeding by officers in the latest crackdown in Wiltshire.
PC Leach and Speed Enforcement Officer Garcia were on a speed enforcement session in Malmesbury Road, Chippenham, as part of Operation Scorpion, which is focused on tackling local drug-related crimes.
The pair were lying in wait on the 30 miles per hour route and out of the five vehicles they witnessed speeding, the fastest was travelling at 41mph.
Police have issued a warning to drivers to be cautious of their speed to ensure they are travelling safely and avoid being caught out to face penalties.

A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “Depending on previous convictions and history, all five drivers will be offered a speed awareness course or face a £100 fine and points on their licence.
“Be safe, drive smart and watch your speed.”
