A fresh batch of roadworks will begin across Wiltshire over the next fortnight with delays expected on major routes.

The upcoming National Highways works will start on some of the county’s busiest roads at different points within the next two weeks.

While some of these works will cause minimal disruption, some are expected to cause noticeable delays.

The most significant of these schemes will see lane closures on the M4 in Wiltshire during the weekend of Friday, October 18, when the motorway will completely shut in both directions between Bath and Bristol.

Other roads affected by upcoming National Highways roadworks include the A36 and the A303.

A full list of the projects set to start can be found below.

• A303: From October 14 to October 17, between 8pm and 6am, moderate delays - A303 eastbound, Countess roundabout to Parkhouse closed for carriageway repairs.

• A303: From 9pm October 14 to 6am October 15, slight delays - A303 Furze Hedge slip road to A350 closed for white lining.

• M4: From October 15 to October 18, between 7pm and 6am, slight delays - M4 westbound, junction 17 exit slip lane closure to facilitate Wiltshire Council works on the roundabout.

• M4: From October 17 to October 18, between 9pm and 6am, slight delays - M4 westbound, junction 14 to junction 15, lane closure for technology work.

• A36: From 5pm October 18 to 8pm November 11, slight delays - A36 both directions at Limpley Stoke, two-way traffic lights for carriageway works.

• A303: From 8pm October 18 to 6am October 19, slight delays - A303 eastbound, Deptford exit slip road closed for horticulture.

• M4: From 10pm October 18 to 6am October 21, moderate delays - M4 westbound, junction 17 to 18 carriageway closed for A432 Badminton Road overbridge utility works.

• M4: From 8am October 21 to 6pm October 22, slight delays - M4 eastbound, junction 18 to junction 17 - hard shoulder closure for inspection/surveys.

• M4: From 7pm October 21 to 6am October 25, slight delays - M4 westbound, junction 17 exit slip lane closure to facilitate Wiltshire Council works on the roundabout.

• A303: From 8pm October 21 to 6am October 22, moderate delays - A303 westbound, Longbarrow Roundabout to Wylye, carriageway closure for white lining/road markings.

• M4: From 9pm October 21 to 6am October 22, slight delays - M4 eastbound, junction 17 to junction 16, lane closure for electrical works.

• M4: From 9pm October 21 to 6am October 22, slight delays - M4 eastbound, junction 18 to junction 17, lane closure for electrical works.
