Amanda Holden stopped off for breakfast at a traditional Wiltshire pub during her gruelling five-day charity bike ride.

The Heart Breakfast host is currently tackling her ‘Big Ride to Work’, a whopping 250-mile cycle from her mum’s house in Bude, Cornwall, to the Heart studios in London's Leicester Square.

Her journey saw her travel through Wiltshire on Wednesday, October 9.

At around 11am, she stopped off at The Bell Inn, in Great Cheverell near Devizes, where she was welcomed by staff and served soup and pastries.

The pub’s manager Kirsty Lucia told this paper that meeting the Britain’s Got Talent judge was a “lovely” experience for staff at the venue.

“Even though we were told there wouldn’t be photograph opportunities Amanda came up to us and asked if we wanted a couple of photos.

“It was really nice, and she was so lovely, she was very taken with our China teacups and seemed happy to be out of the saddle for an hour.”

Amanda has undertaken the challenge, which started on Monday, October 7, and ends on Friday, October 11, to raise money for Global’s Make Some Noise, the radio station’s official charity.

Global’s Make Some Noise funds vital projects in local communities, helping people through illness, mental health struggles, poverty, and much more.

Across the week, her route has taken her through Somerset, Berkshire, Wiltshire, and Surrey, before she reaches her destination.

Ms Lucia said the pub was pleased to have played a part in Amanda’s challenge.

She added: “We knew about two weeks ago that she was going to be coming in, she wanted to stop at more traditional pubs on her journey, so we were asked if she could do a morning pit-stop for her breakfast.

“They’re raising so much money for some really amazing charities that give people real opportunities, so it’s great to do anything supporting that.

“We weren’t going to charge them for charity, it’s a massive thing she’s doing.”

During the event, multiple residents have reported spotting Amanda around the county and, after her visit to the pub, she was filmed leaving to a round of applause.
