A clothes swap event in Malmesbury is set to give people the chance to update their wardrobe without spending any money.
Organised by a small team of eco-conscious volunteers in partnership with social welfare charity HEALS of Malmesbury, the Big Malmesbury Clothes Swap will take place on Saturday, October 12, at Malmesbury Town Hall from 11am to 2pm.
The idea came from Florence Yu, a sustainability expert and Malmesbury resident.
She said: "Swapping clothes helps keep the lifecycle of items in use for longer, it's good for the planet and the purse too.
“As a school governor, I really want young people to think about environmental issues.
"Choosing preloved clothes instead of spending money on new fast fashion is an easy way of saving money and helping to protect the planet."
People can bring in their good quality women's, men's, and teen wear either on the day or drop them in the donation box at the Tourist Information Centre in Malmesbury Town Hall.
All items are free to take on the day, even for people who do not have anything to swap.
HEALS trustee Liz Cook said: "Do pop in and have a browse, everyone is welcome."
