Crowds have gathered for a “unique” annual Lego event which sees “incredible” creations come to life.

The Great Western Brick Show 2024 returned to Swindon’s STEAM Museum on Saturday, October 5 for a weekend of building fun.

The event, one of the biggest in Swindon’s calendar each year, showcased over 100 displays from 200 displayers, traders and volunteers.

Some of the inventions built for crowds to enjoy across the weekend event included railway layouts, buildings, spacecraft, cars, trucks, aircraft and more.

Great Western Brick Show 2024Great Western Brick Show 2024 (Image: Dave Cox) Visitors were given the opportunity of joining in the fun themselves by taking part in interactive building projects, including an all-new giant LEGO mosaic made from over 100,000 bricks.

Lego marketplace was also in attendance offering latest sets as well as some rare and collectible gems.

As well as viewing the builds, children were able to take advantage of Lego and Duplo brick pits and tables.

STEAM described the event as “a brilliant day out for all the family” with plenty to see and do.

Ahead of the show itself, the public was also able to take part in the Outlet Trail treasure hunt, run in conjunction with the Swindon Designer Outlet.
