A police helicopter and armed officers flooded an area near a Wiltshire village after reports of hare coursing.
Wiltshire Police was alerted to alleged hare coursing near All Cannings, between Devizes and Pewsey, via a 999 call on Thursday, October 3.
During the early hours of the morning, armed officers and the National Police Air Service rushed to the scene alongside Roads Policing Units, neighbourhood teams, and the Rural Crime Team.
The vehicle that was reported to be involved in the offence allegedly failed to stop for officers and was pursued by police before being lost.

It was later called in by another member of the public who located it after it was reportedly abandoned in a small woodland near Oare.
Police say the vehicle is believed to have damaged some fences before being stopped and abandoned.
An investigation has been launched in a bid to identify the occupants of the vehicle, who were not at the scene when it was discovered.
Officers say they searched the car and ball bearings were allegedly found.
The car has since been seized by police.
