Wiltshire Council is currently considering plans to prevent drivers stopping on a busy A-road outside a Wiltshire school.
In July, the council ran a consultation on a proposal for “no waiting at any time” restrictions on parts of the A4 London Road in Calne.
If introduced, the scheme would cover the areas outside Holy Trinity Church of England Academy, Holy Trinity Church, and Wessington Court.
It is hoped this would improve “road safety for traffic and pedestrians” on the busy route which runs past the school.

The council now expects to decide whether the plans will be implemented by November, with the comments from the consultation currently being analysed.
Cllr Nick Holder, cabinet member for highways said: “The consultation has now closed, and a number of comments were received which are being considered.
“A report will be prepared ahead of a cabinet member decision, which we expect will be made in November.”
If the proposal is approved, it would prohibit vehicles from stopping or parking in the road.
In some of these areas, no waiting zones already exist on the western side of the road and would be expanded to the eastern side.
