Drivers have been warned to expect delays caused by a host of roadworks on major A-roads through Wiltshire.

A list of roadworks either starting or continuing on National Highways managed routes in the county, including the M4, A303, and A36, has been released.

These works will take place in early October and are likely to cause delays on some of Wiltshire’s busiest roads.

The full list can be found below.

• A36 – From 9.30am to 3.30pm on October 7, slight delays: A36 at Warminster, lane closures for litter picking.

• A303 – From 8pm October 7 to 6am October 9, moderate delays: A303 westbound, Deptford entry and exit slip roads closed for resurfacing.

• M4 – From 8am October 8 to 3pm October 16, slight delays: M4 westbound, junction 17 to 18, lane closure for horticultural works.

• A36 – From 9.30am to 3.30pm on October 8, slight delays: A36 Warminster to Heytesbury, lane closures for litter picking.

• A36 – From 9.30am to 3.30pm on October 9, slight delays: A36 Warminster to Heytesbury, lane closures for litter picking.

• A303 – From 10pm October 9 to 6am October 11, moderate delays: A36 Wilton Roundabout to junction of Kingsway, closure for National Rail bridge works.

• M4 – From 9pm October 11 to 6am October 12, moderate delays: M4 westbound, junction 14, slip road and lane closures for maintenance work.

• A303 – From 9pm October 14 to 6am October 15, slight delays: A303 Furze Hedge slip road to A350 closed for white lining.
