Several requests have been made for restrictions to crack down on parking at locations in a Wiltshire town.
At a Devizes Town Council planning committee meeting in September, members put forward suggestions for parts of the town where additional waiting restrictions, like double yellow lines, could help improve traffic flow.
Since then, further requests have been made for other roads in the town, and councillors will review these at a meeting on Tuesday, October 8 before putting forward applications to Wiltshire Council.
One of these requests is for the turning area at the north end of Winchcombe Avenue, where a resident believes the current situation poses a “severe risk”.

They claim that cars are regularly parking in the turning area, posing an obstruction for drivers and a danger to children playing in the area.
The request suggests the turning area is marked with double yellow lines.
Another resident has requested an extension of the yellow lines on Brickley Lane, near the Longcroft Avenue junction, to prevent crossing points on the route being blocked by parked cars.
Finally, there has been a request for yellow lines at the front of the DS Packaging site on Mill Road where parked cars reportedly obstruct lorries leaving the facility.
If town councillors support these requests, they will be put forward to Wiltshire Council.
