Police have been hiding out on key roads near Swindon in a week of crackdowns on speeding drivers.
Officers from Wiltshire Police have been out and about in several parts of the county this week, targeting some of the roads residents have raised concerns about.
On Tuesday, October 1, officers from the Royal Wootton Bassett neighbourhood policing team and the speed enforcement team took to Hook and Marlborough Road in Royal Wootton Bassett to lie in wait with speed cameras.
Five motorists were caught driving above the 30mph speed limit in Hook.
All of these have now been reported by police.
But despite residents having previously raised concerns about speeding on Marlborough Road, no drivers were found to be going above 30mph on that particular day.
The crackdown in Royal Wootton Bassett comes just one day after PC Farnell and PC Ward were seen conducting speed and vehicle checks in Purton and Brinkworth, where tickets were issued.
The hidden speed checks are set to continue throughout the county this week.
