Police have once again been waiting to catch speeding drivers in Wiltshire villages amidst a crackdown across the county.
This time officers were stationed in the villages of Purton and Brinkworth, between Swindon and Malmesbury, where they carried out speed checks on drivers travelling through the area.
These checks took place on Monday, September 30.
While officers did not report catching anyone travelling at excess speed on the routes through the villages, they did issue a ticket for a driver reportedly failing to stop at a stop sign.

A spokesperson for the force said: “PC Farnell and PC Ward have been conducting speed checks and vehicle checks in Purton and Brinkworth today.
“A ticket was issued in relation to failing to stop at a stop sign.”
Wiltshire Police has been running a long-term campaign to crack down on the “fatal five” motoring offences which increase the risk of serious crashes.
One of these offences is speeding and officers regularly carry out checks around the county to tackle this.
On Sunday, September 29, police were stationed in Great Cheverell to enforce the village’s 20mph speed limit.
