Hundreds of people have been left without power during a blackout affecting a Wiltshire town centre.
Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) has reported an unplanned outage to its network which is affecting some properties in Marlborough town centre.
The utilities provider says a total of 349 homes have been impacted since around 3.30am on Tuesday, October 1.
At the time of writing, the power cut is affecting parts of Marlborough High Street, The Parade, and Kingsbury Street, as well as other parts of the town.
There has also been a loss of power in the Mildenhall and Wilton areas, which are believed to be caused by the same fault.
SSEN is aiming to restore power by noon.
It says the power cut was caused by a fault on the underground network.
A spokesperson said: “We’re aware of a power cut in the area affecting 349 homes.
“This unplanned fault is affecting a large area and it’s likely several streets in your area are affected by the same power cut.
“Our engineers are in your local area and working hard to get your power restored as soon as possible.”
