Chickens and pigs were special guests at an autumn fair in Chippenham which raised more than £350.

Care home The Fairways organised the event to raise money for their amenities fund, which will be used to arrange trips and activities for residents.

The event featured live entertainment, including singers, a ukulele player, and an animal handler who brought owls, as well as an arts and crafts stall with items made by the residents.

Tamara Eggleston, activity coordinator, said: "The fair was a great way for us to connect with the community.

"We were supported really well by organisations in the area, and it was a real community event.

"More than 50 people came, including family members, and the residents really enjoyed it.

Local businesses supported the fair by providing raffle prizes and sweet treats.
