A driver has crashed their car through the glass doors of a Domino’s store in Wiltshire, causing a mass emergency response.
Wiltshire Police, the South Western Ambulance Service and the Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Service all rushed to Domino's Pizza in Calne on Friday evening, September 27, after a car was driven through the front doors of the store.
The incident is believed to have taken place at around 5.30pm, and eyewitnesses to the scene have described seeing a black car which reversed all the way through the front glass doors while the shop was still open and serving.
One anonymous inside source has told the Gazette and Herald that the manager of the store has been taken to hospital following the incident, however this has yet to be confirmed by Wiltshire Police, the ambulance service or Domino's itself.
Others who witnessed the crash have praised staff at the nearby Sainsbury's for being quick to react alongside first aid and directing traffic away from the incident.
As of Saturday morning, Domino's in Calne remains closed, the car has been removed, and the front doors have been boarded up.
All three emergency services and Domino's have been contacted for further comment.
