A new ghost walk experience is coming to Wiltshire and promises to uncover a town’s secret “dark side.”
Extours will be holding ghost walks in Chippenham throughout November and promises to take residents on a journey through the town’s “eerie and forgotten past.”
The new experience aims to uncover the town’s “haunted history” during an immersive tour of some of its historic locations.
Attendees will be guided by storytellers who will recount local history, legends, and supernatural tales.
But they will also be given “real paranormal investigation tools” to help them explore different locations on the trip.

The tour promises to visit the outside of the old Bear Hotel in the Market Place, which Extours says is the home of the Lady in Grey, a spectral figure reported by several witnesses over the years.
In a statement on the group’s website, a spokesperson said: “Step into the shadows of Chippenham’s haunted history on the Chippenham Ghost Walk.
“Join us as we traverse the town’s most mysterious spots, hearing chilling tales of local legends, unexplained phenomena, and long-forgotten secrets.
“This isn’t just a walk—it’s an immersive experience that blends history with the supernatural, offering a unique look at the darker side of Chippenham.”
The walks will be held from 6pm to 8pm on multiple dates in November.
