A Wiltshire town was gridlocked during rush hour and traffic remains slow after temporary traffic lights were installed in the town centre.
On Wednesday, September 25, Wessex Water began work on Bath Road, near the junction with The Bridge in Chippenham, to repair a mains leak.
Multi-way traffic lights were erected, near the pedestrian entrance to the Bath Road car park, while these repairs are carried out.
The work reportedly began at around 1pm and is scheduled to continue until the end of Friday, September 27.
During this time, drivers have been warned to expect delays in the area.

On Wednesday evening there were long queues in the area that stretched back into Monkton Park along Station Hill and Cocklebury Road, as well as congestion on the A420 New Road.
One person said: “They’ve put temporary traffic lights in place of The Bridge ones outside Rivo so it is absolutely gridlocked.
“Just spent I don’t know how long stuck in it.”
Another driver added: “Every road and direction out of Monkton Park is at a standstill.
“We have been sat here for half an hour already. And only managed about 100 yards.”
