A Wiltshire restaurant has reopened after being “transformed” by a major refurbishment.
The Greenhouse Restaurant, at Wadswick Green, a retirement village for over-60s in Corsham, has undergone a full renovation after consultation with residents.
The venue, which is frequented by residents and visitors from the wider area, was redesigned and refitted by Park Grove Design.
Village manager Keith Turnbull explained that the restaurant’s refurbishment was centred around creating a natural environment for customers.

He said: “The brief for Park Grove was to incorporate The Greenhouse’s picturesque and natural setting within the village’s 25 acres of beautiful, landscaped gardens.
“Park Grove came up with a ‘biophilic design’ a concept used within the building industry to increase occupant connectivity to the natural environment through the use of direct nature, indirect nature and space and place conditions, an idea which benefits both occupants and the environment.”
All the original furniture at the restaurant was donated to prevent waste, with the Dorothy Hospice among those to benefit.
The Greenhouse now promises visitors a “contemporary yet comfortable dining experience with picturesque surroundings” which can be viewed through floor to ceiling windows.
There is also a bar with an extensive drink selection and an outdoor terrace.
