The following cases were heard at magistrates courts in Swindon and Salisbury.
PEWSEY: On Friday, August 30, Liam Burns, of Ludlow Road in Southampton, was sentenced for causing serious injury by careless or inconsiderate driving.
The 23-year-old pleaded guilty to seriously injuring another male on March 20 on the A342 at Pewsey while driving a Volkswagen without due care and attention.
He also pleaded guilty to driving without third party insurance.
Burns was jailed for 26 weeks, suspended for two years, and banned from the roads for three years.
He was also ordered to pay £85 in costs and a £187 surcharge.
TROWBRIDGE: On Friday, August 30, George Edwards, of no fixed abode, was sentenced for criminal damage and three counts of theft from a shop.
The 27-year-old pleaded guilty to damaging a security barrier at Sainsbury’s in Trowbridge, on June 7, causing £204 worth of damage.
He also admitted stealing £198 worth of meat and £202.50 of alcohol from Sainsbury’s in Bradford on Avon between July 12 and July 18.
Edwards was jailed for 14 days because of his “flagrant disregard for people and their property.”
STEEPLE ASHTON: On Friday, August 30, Richard Hodges, of Dark Lane North, was sentenced for possession of a knife and drink driving.
The 77-year-old pleaded guilty to possessing a locking knife at Steeple Ashton on August 16 without good reason.
He also admitted driving on Edington Road, on the same date, while the proportion of alcohol in his breath was 71micrograms per 100 millilitres - the legal limit is 35.
Hodges was fined a total of £307, banned from driving for 20 months, to be reduced by 20 weeks on completion of a course, and deprived of his knife.
HEYTESBURY: On Friday, August 30, Elly Gratton, of Westlands, was sentenced for causing actually bodily harm and two further counts of assault.
The 20-year-old was sentenced for assaulting another woman, causing her actual bodily harm, on February 26, and assaulting two others by beating them, one on that date and another the following day.
She was slapped with a community order requiring her to undergo 120 days of alcohol treatment and 12 months of mental health treatment.
TROWBRIDGE: On Saturday, August 31, Sally Nowell, of Sleightholme Court, was sentenced for criminal damage.
The 41-year-old pleaded guilty to damaging a window in Corsham on March 4, causing £250 worth of damage.
She was fined £40 and ordered to pay a £16 surcharge.
WARMINSTER: On Saturday, August 31, James Swainson, of Imberwood Close, was sentenced for criminal damage and other offences.
The 49-year-old pleaded guilty to damaging a Wiltshire Police van on or before August 30 in Bath, to an unknown value, and using threatening or abusive words or behaviour at The Royal United Hospital on the same date.
The previous day, Swainson had caused criminal damage to an unknown value at the Morrisons store in Weymouth Street, Warminster, and used threatening or abusive words or behaviour.
He was fined £40 for the offences.
WILTSHIRE: On Tuesday, September 3, Radoslaw Bak, of Garendon Road in Sutton, was sentenced for speeding on the M4 in Wiltshire.
The 45-year-old pleaded guilty to exceeding the 70mph limit on the motorway near Swindon on January 7.
He was fined £288, ordered to pay £90 in costs and a £115 surcharge, and his driving record was endorsed with six points.
WILTSHIRE: On Tuesday, September 3, Milosz Sobiechowski, of Selley Walk in Bristol, was sentenced for speeding on the M4 in Wiltshire.
The 22-year-old pleaded guilty to exceeding the 70mph limit on the motorway near Swindon on February 17.
He was fined £307, ordered to pay £90 in costs and a £123 surcharge, and his driving record was endorsed with four points.
