Residents have vented their frustration at a “leaking water main” near a Wiltshire pub that sits on a major A-road.
Over the last few weeks, water has regularly been seen flowing across the pavement between The Roebuck pub in Marlborough and Drove Veterinary Hospital, on the A4 London Road.
The water flow, which was described by one resident as “a little river” has been travelling across the path and onto the busy A-road, where it pooled in sections along the side of the route.
While it appears to be a relatively small leak, it has caused frustration amongst some people in the area who say it is an example of persistent issues.

One resident, who did not wish to be named, said: “There are continual leaks around Marlborough that never get fixed, the one by the Roebuck has been leaking for four weeks.
“There have been others that lasted three months… this one is running like a little river.
“The amount of water going down the drain, it’s like filling your bath 24/7 for weeks and it’s frustrating because it’s wastage.”
Thames Water was contacted for comment but did not respond.
