A woman has been arrested after police were called to a crash on the M4.

Wiltshire Police's Road Policing Unit rushed to the M4 on Tuesday, September 17, after reports of a crash between junction 15 and 16, south of Swindon.

A white car was found with significant damage to the passenger side door, headlight and front wheel.

The police force has now confirmed that a woman has been arrested on suspicions of drink driving following the crash.

"The legal limit is 35."

The vehicle has now been recovered and the M4 is open with traffic flowing as usual.

Further police investigations will now take place.
