A Wiltshire cafe has bounced back from almost losing everything in an unprecedented flood to be named the best in the county.
Krumbz Cafe, located at Kennet Place in Marlborough, was named the best cafe in Wiltshire at the England Business Awards in September.
The win represents a highlight in what has been a difficult year for the business, which was taken over by Roy and Sylwia Meek in late 2022.
In January, Storm Henk ripped through the town and brought major flooding which entered Krumbz Cafe and badly affected the venue.
The cafe was closed for over a month but has gone from strength to strength since reopening.
Mr Meek said the latest boost for the business highlighted the work of his staff and the support of residents since the floods.

He said: “The floods took a lot out of us at the beginning of the year, but everyone pulled together and put in a massive effort so I’m really proud of the whole team.
“Part of this process is the community and our customers voting for us, so it goes to show how much Marlborough pulls together and helps local businesses.
“There has been massive support since the floods and that has been huge for us, it’s really shown us how strong the community is here.
“People come into Krumbz six days a week and for some of these people it’s more than just a coffee shop, we want to thank everyone who has supported us.”
As well as the public vote, Krumbz was visited by a mystery shopper and beat out strong competition from other nominees.
“We were really surprised to be honest, we didn’t go there expecting to win”, said Mr Meek.
“I thought it would be a good night with our team doing something different and that would be it, so I was very surprised.
“I’m very proud and very happy for the whole team because it has been a team effort.”
Moving forward no big changes are planned at Krumbz Cafe with the team focusing on providing the service that makes them “unique” in the town.
Mr Meek added: “All we can do is keep doing what we do best and be a friendly cafe with some top notch food.
“Marlborough is blessed with great coffee shops and restaurants that all do their own thing, we’ll just keep enjoying what we do.”
