Officers arrested two people after staff at a Wiltshire supermarket reported shoplifting.

Lidl employees in Chippenham flagged down Roads Policing Unit officers at around 4pm on Saturday, September 7 to report a vehicle which had reportedly been involved in the theft of goods from the store.

Police say that their units got behind the vehicle “swiftly” and brought it to a stop.

They detained seven people, arrested two suspects, and recovered all of the stolen goods.

The driver was also reported for allegedly having no insurance and the vehicle was seized.
