An award-winning town centre beauty salon is on the move to a bigger premises after its “amazing” growth.

Park Lane Beauty, which was named Wiltshire’s best salon at the 2023 Muddy Stilettos awards, is set to leave its Station Hill clinic in Chippenham to move to a new home by the end of September.

The business, which has been in its current unit for three years, will transition into the currently vacant space in the building partially occupied by Goughs Solicitors on nearby New Road.

The salon will take one side of the property, consisting of three floors and around nine rooms, while the solicitors will remain in the other half.

Business owner Claire, who has been in the beauty industry for 15 years and self-employed for 10 of those, told this paper the move was necessary to keep pace with the growth of the salon.

She said: “We ran out of room, which is a nice problem to have, we’ve been really lucky and have been able to work with a lot of brands like FENTY and that’s brought a lot more clients in.

“We wanted somewhere bigger where we could offer more to clients, so they’ll be able to hire the salon if they want to, life drawing classes have been booked in for next year for example.

“We actually love where we are at the moment, and we’ve been really lucky, but this will allow us to be even better.

“We’re buzzing and I’m really looking forward to being able to give the girls here a better space so we’re all really excited.”

Claire believes the salon’s growth over the last few years was partially made possible by the loyalty of her customers.

She added: “We’ve been extremely fortunate, a lot of the brands in the industry have been very good to us and it’s been amazing.

“The customers have been everything to us, I started out the boot of my car so without the support of the clients and the community I wouldn’t have been able to take on my employees and keep growing.

“I don’t think people understand how important it is to get on the High Street and support local businesses and create employment, their support is everything and we’re really aware of how lucky we are.”

The front of the new salon will also be used as a wellness shop and will stock products from other local businesses.
