Councillors will identify areas where new parking restrictions could be implemented across a Wiltshire town.
During a planning committee meeting on Tuesday, September 10, Devizes Town Councillors will discuss and agree locations in the town where waiting restrictions could help manage traffic flow.
Wiltshire Council will then consider any requests for additional restrictions, which could include double yellow lines or other parking orders.
According to town council officers, these restrictions are usually considered on an annual basis due to the cost of drawing up traffic orders.

Residents will be able to attend the meeting if they wish and could also raise any locations they believe should have additional parking restrictions with committee members ahead of time.
Should the committee choose to put any areas forward for more restrictions, they will need to provide details of the issues currently caused by parking.
Reasons for implementing parking restriction plans include improving pedestrian safety near schools, preventing crashes, and poor highway visibility.
The committee will need to provide information detailing the issues currently caused by a lack of restrictions.
Once councillors have identified these problem areas, officers will complete waiting restriction forms and submit them to Wiltshire Council.
