A carnival parade is set to take over a Wiltshire town centre with huge crowds expected.
This year’s Devizes Carnival will take place on Saturday, August 31, with the parade through the town due to depart from The Green at 5.45pm.
The parade is expected to take around two hours to complete and will see crowds of people and floats make their way through the town centre.
This year’s theme is Home is Where the Heart is and those taking part will have the chance to show off their favourite things about their hometown.

The circuit includes Long Street, St John’s Street, The Market Place, New Park Street, Maryport Street, and Sidmouth Street.
Those who are watching from halfway around the route or further have been reminded to allow it time to reach them.
Roads on the parade circuit will close from 5pm to 9pm with the exception of Sidmouth Street, which is scheduled to shut at 4pm.
Anyone who parks in one of the car parks on the route has been warned that they will be unable to exit until the parade is finished and the road closures are lifted.
The future of the popular carnival was secured this year after nearly £10,000 in public donations was raised to counter funding cuts.
