A teenage girl has died, and one man has been arrested, following a serious crash on an unnamed Wiltshire road.
The incident took place shortly before 10pm on Thursday, August 29, on a rural road between Bushton and Hilmarton.
Emergency services rushed to the scene after a single-vehicle crash involving a Renault Clio.
A 16-year-old girl from Royal Wootton Bassett, who had been a rear seat passenger in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her next of kin have been informed and police say their thoughts are with them at this time.
The driver of the vehicle, an 18-year-old man, has been arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving.

He has since been taken into custody.
Nearly 12 hours after police first arrived at the scene, a road closure remains in place while further investigation works are carried out.
This does not appear to be causing significant delays on surrounding roads, but drivers should avoid the closed area.
Police enquiries remain ongoing, and any witnesses have been urged to come forward.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Any witnesses to the collision or anyone who has dashcam footage is asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 01225 694597 quoting log 351 of yesterday’s date.
“Alternatively they can contact the team directly at SCIT@wiltshire.police.uk.”
