Police have been waiting for speeding drivers on a busy Wiltshire A-road.
Officers were deployed to the A4 near Derry Hill, next to The Pewsham pub between Chippenham and Calne, to conduct speed checks during the morning of Thursday, August 29.
This comes after residents in the area raised concerns over speeding vehicles approaching the junction of the A4 London Road and the A342 Old Derry Hill.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Some early morning patrols in our rural area for Calne officers.

“Residents of Old Derry Hill have recently raised concerns to us regarding the speed of vehicles approaching the A4 and A342 junction, so some time was also spent today monitoring vehicle speeds.”
Police are yet to confirm if any drivers were clocked travelling over the speed limit.
The stretch of the A4 between Chippenham and Calne, particularly near the junction with Old Derry Hill, has been labelled a crash blackspot by those that live in the area.
In June, following another crash near the junction, some residents repeated calls for a reduction in the speed limit to 30mph.
