Dozens of roads in a Wiltshire village could have 20mph speed limits implemented under new plans.
Wiltshire Council is currently running a consultation on a proposal to introduce 20mph speed limits on a host of roads in Sherston, near Malmesbury, including parts of the B4040 through the village.
As part of the consultation, a proposal to change the speed limit on the B4040 Easton Town to 30mph is also being considered.
This change would come into force from a point 17 metres northeast of the junction with Sandpits Lane to a point 32 metres northeast of the junction with Tetbury Road.
The council says the proposed changes are being considered for “the purpose of highway safety”.
Residents will have the opportunity to comment on these plans until Monday, September 9 and they can be viewed in full at Malmesbury Library or on the Wiltshire Council website.
