A car has been seized after an alleged provisional licence holder was involved in a crash at an M4 junction in Wiltshire.
Police were called to the scene of a collision on junction 17 of the M4, near Chippenham, during the afternoon of Tuesday, August 27.
Following checks, it was discovered that the driver of a Zafira involved in the incident was allegedly a learner driver, with only a provisional licence.
Police believe they were driving without a supervisor at the time of the crash.
After these checks, which appeared to take place near the Indurent Industrial Park just off the junction, police seized the car and reported the driver to court.
A spokesperson for the force added: “RPU have attended a collision this afternoon on top of junction 17 of the M4.
“The driver of this Zafira involved was found to only hold a provisional driving licence and was driving without a supervisor.
“Vehicle seized and driver reported to court.”
