A “unique” music festival is set to return a Wiltshire town by popular demand after a “bumper year”.

The Fulltone Music Festival attracted over 2,000 visitors to The Green in Devizes on the weekend of Saturday, July 27, to enjoy an array of musical talent spread over three days.

Ahead of this year’s edition of the annual event, organisers feared the festival would be their last.

A spokesperson said: “It’s hard to believe that exactly one month ago, we were on The Green setting up for what we thought might be the last Fulltone Festival.

“As you probably know, Fulltone is run by a small group of volunteers and is funded solely by ticket sales plus a few generous local sponsors.

“Ticket sales hadn’t been great leading up to this year’s festival, and we really thought that it might have run its course.”

But in the week before the festival, a record number of tickets were sold resulting in the event’s highest ever attendance.

This was followed by a weekend when organisers praised the “unforgettable atmosphere” on display during all three days.

Even after the event, Fulltone Orchestra director Jemma Brown told this paper that this success meant organisers had “a lot to think about” and were considering a move to another site outside of town.

But the group has since confirmed that the festival will return next year as Fulltone ‘25, and will once again be held at The Green.

A spokesperson added: “After the festival, we sent out a survey to everyone who bought a ticket.

“Overwhelmingly, our visitors love the event being on The Green, with many of you walking to the event.

“The late July date was also the most popular, and we will keep these aspects under review for the future.

“We are already booking acts for next year, and we can confirm that you will not be disappointed.”

The dates for next year’s event have been confirmed, with the support of Devizes Town Council, and the concert will take place from July 25 to July 27.

Early bird tickets went on sale at 9am on Saturday, August 24, and are available at a discounted price.

Next year’s event promises a “huge weekend of live music”, including a 50-piece orchestra performing four sessions, and a number of guests.

There will also be food and drink stalls.
