Two masked men allegedly tried to rob a town centre jeweller in Wiltshire before fleeing the scene.
Estcourt Jewellers, next to the British Lion pub on Estcourt Street in Devizes, was reportedly targeted at around 1.45pm on Saturday, August 24.
Two men allegedly entered the store and demanded that the staff member hand over money from the till.
Police say the pair left the premises empty handed but are treating the incident as a robbery.
It is believed both men fled the scene in a silver Vauxhall Astra, the driver of which was also masked.
The vehicle, which had its number plates covered, departed the area by turning left at the roundabout near Dominos, which would have taken it onto Southbroom Road.
The suspects are described as wearing dark clothing and full-face balaclavas.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident and are urging any witnesses to come forward.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Officers are investigating a robbery at a jewellers in Devizes.
“Enquiries are currently ongoing and we are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with further information.
