The Unite the Kingdom group plans to stage a peaceful silent protest outside County Hall on Saturday, September 28 at 1pm.

The move follows a protest billed as a ‘Patriotic Rally’ staged by right-wing activist Tommy Robinson in central London on Sunday, July 28 attended by 1,000 people.

In a post on social media, the group said: “Calling all citizens. Your country needs you!

“We, (unite the kingdom) will be holding a silent, peaceful meeting outside our local government building. This is going to take place on 28th September 2024 at 1pm .

“If you are proud of your country and want to see change, please join us and bring your flags and placards.”

The group is anxious to make it clear they don’t want trouble, adding: “This is a silent meeting. We don't want or need any kind of trouble.

“This is a direct message to our government to stop the boats, close our borders and start mass deportation.

“This is part of the Enough is Enough Group and will be taking place across the whole country on the same day at the same time.

“Will you stand up for your country?”
