Detailed plans have been submitted for four more warehouse units totalling over 214,000sq feet at a Wiltshire industrial park beside the M4.
Indurent Park, formerly known as St Modwen Park before a merger, already boasts four large warehouses that sit just off the M4 junction 17 at Chippenham.
Two of these have been snapped up by Furniturebox and Huboo while it is estimated that the two vacant units, which combine to cover more than 450,000sq feet, could create up to 600 jobs once filled.
Now Indurent Logistics, previously St Modwen Logistics, has lodged a planning application for two more storage and distribution units and two units for either general industrial, storage and distribution, or industrial processes use.

The developer believes the additional units could create another 400 jobs, 278 of which would be on-site, once they are operational.
This would be as well as 245 jobs created in the area during the construction phase of the development.
It is hoped the latest phase of the major scheme will generate an additional £13.4 million of estimated gross value from on-site jobs per year.
Because of the smaller unit sizes, it is expected that the proposed buildings would cater to a “different set of occupiers” than those that have already been built.
While four units at the site have already been constructed by Indurent, there are also plans for another two storage and distribution units north of the industrial park awaiting a decision from Wiltshire Council.
These would sit between the B4122 and the M4.
Wiltshire Council has already granted outline planning permission for major industrial and logistics development at the wider Indurent Park site.
This is because it is considered “essential to the wider strategic interest of the economic development of Wiltshire.”

Savills, which has prepared a planning statement on behalf of Indurent, believes the most recent application is a “key opportunity” to boost the area’s economy.
In the statement, a spokesperson said: “The development of the application site represents a key opportunity to build upon the economic potential of the north Chippenham area, combining with the success of the existing Indurent Park Chippenham site to deliver significant direct and indirect socio-economic benefits.
“The proposals will provide much-needed industrial and logistics floorspace, of which there is a significant shortfall of supply in Wiltshire.
“The scheme will generate a significant number of construction and operational jobs for the community.”
Indurent is continuing to market its empty units, which were completed last year, as available to let.
