A former engineer from Wiltshire will start his own circus in the county in a bid to “bring back silliness”.
Sam Morely, from Calne, previously worked as an engineer before meeting self-trained clown and unicyclist Sam Goodburn, from Bournemouth.
The meeting gave Mr Morley “the circus bug” and he is now the producer of Circus Piddly, a new business that will premiere in Chippenham at the end of August.
The first show will take place at 6pm on Friday, August 30, at Westmead Playing Fields and will be followed by afternoon and evening shows on Saturday and Sunday.
The pair had previously worked together on multiple other circuses but are taking the plunge to start their own business.

This will feature Mr Goodburn as the only performer, making the venture the UK’s smallest tented circus.
The show is an hour long and will feature high wire, a 12ft unicycle, juggling, comedy, a world premiere of a completely new act and lots of surprises.
Mr Goodburn added: “I wanted to make a circus that put comedy at the centre of the show.
“We will make you laugh whatever age you are, the show itself will be very silly and includes all my best acts.”
Full price tickets for the show are £10 while concessions are £8.
