Organisers are preparing for a Wiltshire carnival after public donations secured its future.
The Devizes Carnival will take place on August 31 after residents contributed nearly £10,000.
Devizes Outdoor Celebratory Arts (DOCA) always intended to run the carnival, but its annual schedule was thrown into doubt by a loss of funding.
Public donations, including £3,000 from a mystery benefactor, will allow them to run the carnival without dipping into their reserves and putting future events at risk.
Organisers are urging the public to get involved as the big day nears.

A spokesperson said: “DOCA is thrilled by the response from the public and would like to thank every single person who donated.
“Every contribution, including the extremely generous mystery donor who put in over £3,000 to get us to over the finish line in the last hour, has ensured we can put on the carnival parade and run workshops this year.
“We wish we could thank you all individually, but the best way we can show appreciation is to put on an incredible carnival.
“To do that we need people. Both to take part and fill our streets with colour and creativity, and to help us run the event smoothly.”
On the day, registration will open on the Green at 4pm and the parade will begin at 5.45pm, from the same location.
This will take around two hours and people watching from halfway or further along the route should allow it time to reach them.
Roads on the parade circuit, including Long Street, St John’s Street, Market Place, New Park Street, and Maryport Street, will close from 5pm.
Sidmouth Street will shut at 4pm.
Any cars parked on the route cannot be moved until the road closures have been lifted.
Several workshops will take place in the week before the parade and will be free to attend and open to all ages.
Visitors will have the chance to “get crafty” and join community groups, alongside artists and Festival Makers who will be there to help.
This year’s theme is Home is Where the Heart is, and residents are encouraged to show what they love about their hometown.
This could include their favourite local business, a bit of local history, or a beloved pet, but all are welcome to take part as they wish.
Those not part of the parade can volunteer as a Festival Maker or marshal and will be recognised later at a thank you party.
Any potential volunteers have been urged to get in touch via info@docadevizes.co.uk.
