A learner driver in Wiltshire “failed their driving test” after being stopped by police and having their car seized.
Officers from the Roads Policing Unit stopped a Toyota near the Herman Miller Industrial Estate in Chippenham, just off the A4 Bath Road.
They claimed that the car had been “shockingly driven”, leading them to pull it over for “a chat.”
Police say the driver was taking their driving test at the time of the incident but was allegedly driving the vehicle without insurance.
The car was then seized by police.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Roads Policing Unit in Chippenham on Project Zero noticed this shockingly driven Toyota sporting the L plates and thought it worth a chat.
“Driver was on their driving test but considered insurance to be unnecessary.
“One very relieved driving examiner later, vehicle seized. #Fail.”
Roads Policing Unit officers around the county have been targeting motorists committing driving offences during early August, as part of Project Zero.
The operation aims to clamp down on the fatal five driving offences, which make people behind the wheel more likely to cause crashes.
